You shouldn't see anything on your desktop. If you look in windows explorer you should see a removabale drive. This is what the PSP shows up under. MusicMatch does not recognize the psp and their is no plugin available for it. video9 has a product that will allow you to manage music and videos on your psp from a more user friendly interface.
The solution that I use for music is this. http://audiopromotionpro.com has a product that will allow you to podcast via rss your music to any internet connection or hotspot. Just enter in promo code "ssenta92" to get a free account.
This is a quick how to: 1. Spend some time uploading mp3's to the site. (Their working on a batch tool that will allow you to upload them in bulk) 2. Create a podcast. 3. Click on the tracks link to add the audio to the podcast 4. Click on the + sign at the begining of the podcast to change the order in which they will be played 5. Click publish. 6. Click on the down addow next to the tracks link to get your podcast and m3u links.
pcast's are one-click podcasts so that you can place on to your own website. Eg. Some one with a FireFox or IE clicks on it and it will automatically add a subscription to your pod cast in their iTunes.
For the PSP. You simply just need to link directly to the podcast. eg. http://backoffice.audiopromotionpro.com/podcasts/podcast.php?id=xx. The PSP browser will ask you if you would like to add the RSS to you list.
FYI. It's easier to subscribe to the podcast on the PSP if you just have a clickable link on a web page. Save's you have to type in that hugh URL
