My PSP won't play a complete MP3............. any idea why?

Simply put, when I try to play an album on my PSP, it will only play part of each track (ranges from 30secs to over a minute) before it skips to the next track.

I have scanned online for a solution and checked in the settings incase there's something in there I have missed but to no avail.

Can anyone help?

where are you gettign the mp3s from?

I am taking them off my PC, they are stored on the memory stick.

try to transfer em again maybe some thing went wrong the first time

The PSP can be a bit quirky with VBR/ABR MP3 files. Depends on how they were encoded. I've had odd problems with some of the files I encoded years ago (I forget what software I used to rip them). Ripped the CDs again using ABCDE w/Lame (VBR) and they play fine.

Note that the original files played fine on my PC & phone.

Everyone thinks I'm psychotic (except my friends deep inside the earth).
