hello i just got a psp go and media go to sync my music from itunes onto my psp.
if you have an ipod you know there are 2 ways to play your music. you go to the music tab and to song/album, then find the song you want
or you could just go to the main menu and do shuffle songs and it plays randomly which is what i want
with the psp and media go's syncing, it automatically puts them in folders based on the artist without my permission. there is no way to randomize them like an ipod can. only way i can fix it is to perhaps remove the artist names from the itunes songs so they are in a huge folder?
please help me with this or i will most likely return my psp go and get an ipod...thx

If i remember correctly, the ipod uses a folder structure to organize your music for you already, but it doesnt show it on your itunes, soo when you syncd it to the Media go software all the folder's showed up... soo yea..

You can use the SensMe Channel app on the PSP and select the "Shuffle All" Channel. There are other channels based on mood/genre.
SensMe Channels is one of the reasons I prefer to use my PSP Go instead of a Zune or iPod.

Hello again thank you for replies. i tried the sense me on the psp go, but unfortunately the only folder that works is the 'shuffle all', which is acceptable for me. the problem with that is that it is nearly unplayable for some reason. it is only about 130 songs and 800 MB of music, but it is very laggy and 2 times it froze completely and i had to hold the power button for 10 seconds which was the only option at that point.
i am not sure why the other channels on sense me were not working though any idea?

I'm a little late to the party on this one, but I understand your problem entirely (I hated that too). but there is a very simple fix. make a new play list on media go, name it "all" or whatever you want to signify it's every song in your library. go back to your main library Ctrl+A to highlight all tracks and then drag and drop them into your "all" playlist.
boom, mission accomplished lol. now just go into that playlist, hit triangle then shuffle... your entire library shuffled. not as simplistic as the ipod... but in the end it works...
now if we could only get an update allowing the ability to make playlists on the fly... we'd beat that other brand of music player... (ok maybe not... but we'd be one step closer)

I had senseme for a while but I moved all my music to my memory stick and now senseme can't read it. but I can say while I had it I was not impressed. I didn't seem as "intelligent" as other similar programs and i had a very eclectic mix for most all of my "moods" ( all american rejects and kill switch don't belong in the same category...ever, lol) the only thing I truly found useful on senseme was the ability to make playlists on the fly, but with no easy way to find the songs you are looking for... that on the fly playlist could take 3 months, lol.
as for your problem with the glitches, I would assume that your download got a little funky, when I had sensme I had no such problems. I would suggest deleting and re-downloading...if that doesn't help, we'll explore other options.
But if shuffle all is really all you're looking for... check my other post for a nice fix, might not be the fix you're looking for but it solved my "shuffle all" problem perfectly

What format is your music in? I believe that SensMe only works reliably for .mp3 files. Tracks need to be synced using Media Go (and not directly dragged and dropped) for SensMe Channels to work. As for lagging and freezing, that might be caused by high bitrate audio files. (320kbps)
If you are motivated to use your PSP as a media player then I highly encourage you to get SensMe Channels functional on your PSP... it is superior IMO to Zune's SmartDJ and iTunes Genius.

I'm super late to this party. But MediaGo has to analyze each song for it to work with SenseMe. You know your MP3 file is analyzed when ti has hearts and a tempo icon in Mediago next to it. This indicates the tempo and the mood of the song.
