Hello!
I've been having a problem with connecting to my PSN account and the PS Store on my PSP Go and my First Gen. PSP (1000, I think). I have no problems when I'm at home or at someone else's house but every time I try to at a hospital or an institution I keep getting the error code "A connection error has occurred. (20000006). ![]()
I'm currently inpatient at an institution right now so I can only access whatever it's network gives me. But the weird thing is that it was the same thing with three other hospitals as well! I can connect to the internet browser just fine but I desperately want to download games and demos but I obviously can't since I can't sign into the network! Is there anyway around this error??? Please help!!
Thank you for any you can give me!! ![]()
PS: I'm surprised that this hasn't been addressed on the playstation website/forum because I seems like a pretty common problem/error... ![]()

Institutions frequently use web proxy servers to allow access to the Internet, or restrict port access for security reasons. The PSP is designed to be used on public Wi-Fi or home networks. Access to PSN requires the use of obscure IP ports that the facility probably does not allow network traffic to flow to the Internet on. People have had similar problems on some college campus networks. There is nothing that you can do about it. If the ports that PSN requires are not open to the Internet on the wireless network, then PSN can't be used.
