Is my PSP getting ready to die?

Hey, guys. I haven't been around PSP General much, lol.

But the other day, just yesterday, my PSP was giving me some difficulty. I had just closed the browser after using a portal. I believe it was iFind 4. My PSP is a 1000.

Anyways, I turned it off, but I decided I wanted to listen to some music.

I turned it back on and the XMB did not come up after about a full minute.

I kept trying, turning it off and on, even taking out the battery like 3 times.

After about 5 times, the XMB finally appeared, rather quickly.

As you can imagine, it was scaring the crap out of me, because I love my original 1000. LOL

I plan on making it one of my collection items after I probably get a 3000.

 Anyone ever have this problem?
