The only way I'll buy a new model is if it is significantly different from the PSP Go. I just got mine, and love it. This new one better be a Go with a camera, more memory, longer battery life, and a mechanism that will allow me to buy hookers. Otherwise, I'm happy with my current model.
The PSP-4000 would be the UMD PSP's new version, the PSP-N2000 would be a second PSPgo.

They better not be releasing another one! I just got a 3000 to replace my 2000 with a bad screen.
psp 1000 ---> psp 2000 = 2 year gap
psp 2000 --> 3000 = 1 year or less gap
3000 --> go = 1 year or less gap
Not to mention the multiple DS releases.
It kind of is a slap in the face that handhelds are getting replaced each year. Kind of makes you feel you bought a piece of crap. Let them age a bit!
I agree but each time they come up with a new system it's a way to rejuvenate sales. Take the same product make small tweaks to it then present it to the public as if it's something different, much like the DS -> DS Lite, and all of the gullible people jump on it and buy because it's the latest thing(i'm not referring to the ones who never owned a previous system or the ones whose old system broke). If less people would fall for this tactic then these companies would probably stop making systems every year or two because they would realize that people aren't going to buy them.
