And exactly how many disc-based games require the new firmware at the moment? None
All current Blu-ray movies also still work fine.
Finally, the PlayStation Store is part of the PlayStation Network which is not necessarily entitled to the PS3 and merely an additional service.
so since sony removed it did we really need it? i mean it was a plus but comparing to xbox 360 there system is $200 and doesnt even have a browser or blu ray ETC. So was it really needed. But i do undestand the browser for ps3 that neeeds to be fixed
As much as we need the Blu-Ray player. They are both not essential to playing games, but they were additional features that people took into consideration when deciding whether or not to buy a PS3.
