So, I have been trying to download Quantum Conundrum since it was added to PlayStation Plus, and every time the installation fails and provides the error code 800233EF.

I have a decent, wired, connection, and have tried various things such as different network settings. I downloaded One Piece: Pirate Warriors a few days before and (at 10GB, thank god) the game isntalled just fine. A quick search only seemed to bring up a thread on the EU PS board with others confused by this error.

I pre-ordered PS All Stars, and now rather than looking forward to it, I'm just dreading seeing this error after a long download on launch day.

Search of the Knowledge Center came up with no results - not good.

You might try contacting SONY directly on this one.

I had this same code and contacted sony which was no help they told me to contact activision because I was trying to download black ops. My system was hooked up wireless and i tried wired and it didnt work. tried everybody else suggegtions and no help. My internet is slow coming in from DSL at a download of 512kps and upload of 256 kps. The only thing I found that worked to let me download was doin a full format of the PS3 which took 8hrs. But right after I did that it let me download the update the first time. But I didnt have any of my stuff on the ps3 because i had bought it from my friend so i didnt mind formatting it.. Hope this helps and this is the first resolution ive found to work.

hey im getting the same error code since the last software update of my ps3



the error comes up when i try to download the patch 1.24 of COD MW3 and with the Music Unlimited(SONY) software



i tried everything, PS Recovery menu, change DNS servers, fully format the console and still have this **bleep** error, at this point its getting on my nerves...



if someone of this forum's MODS can give any kind of help, i'll be very thankful
