HDMI AUDIO sound delay

i have my ps3 hdmi into surround sound then surround sound hdmi into tv

i am not using the tv speakers at all they are muted

i have sound but it is delayed in comparison to the picture on games and movies and even the ps menu

 

it is a slight delay but easily noticible   iv tried all the settings on the surround and ps3 that i can think of and i put the surround on game mode and i still have a delay.....

 

everything played with the surround sound system works fine only the ps3 is effected, when i plug the ps3 into tv there is no delay, that rules out the hdmi cables any thoughts or ps settings i can changee?
