PS3 Game Updates INSANELY Slow

4 replies 375 views Edited Sep 16, 2012

Alright so I just picked up Battlefield 3 for cheap, no big deal, had to install a 1.3gb update, no worries my internet is pretty good and on all my other devices usually i can get that stuff done in 10 minutes.

But much too my dismay, it counted too 1050 minutes, I disabled the media server, on and off, unplugged my router on and off, even hardlined it to my internet, no wireless, still 1050 minutes, Ran tons of internet tests etc. And its not just BF3 its ALL game update related things.

Can ANYONE Help me with this?

Same with me.It is not only with bf3 it is also with my LBP2,call of duty,bf3,and the old Lego Star Wars.Try logging out then log back in.Or play the single player a little bit then try again. These usually work with my games.

no issues here. the only thing i have issue with is the actual ps3 detecting my speed properly. i have a 90meg wired connection and the ps3 keep reporting it as 8meg in the network test. i have to keep running the  test until it picks up the actual speed and then im good to go.

its super annoying

try running a connection test on the ps3 and see what it says your speed it at, this didnt start happening to me until the last firmware update
