My internet connection has been kinda wierd lately and randomly dropping connection. Therefore, I don't feel safe downloading a firmware when I could possibly lose connection in the middle of it. Would it screw my ps3 up if this happened?

Also, does anyone have an eta for the update via computer dl?

Probably would, the file might get corrupted.

Thats wat I thought... it sucks cause I wanna update and add my psp to my account on my ps3 so I can access my videos and games that I dl through my ps3... Anyone know when I can update through the comp?

you should be fine since it doesnt delete old firmware and then download the new.  it does a complete download, and then installs.  if the dl is corrupt it shouldnt procede.

Download the Firmware from your computer and transfer it the PS3 using a USB storage.

It issafe because it downloads first then checks for all the data and then installs its not like it downloads and installs at the same time.

thats what I was thinking. It just is bugging me and I am hesitant in doing it lol. I dunno if I wanna wait for the website to update, no tellin when that will be. does anyone know how long it usually takes the website to update
