I think there is a major flaw with the sub accounts. I don't mind having to make a sub account since I'm not 18 yet, but in a two years, I will be. People are not under 18 forever. With no way to add money on my own account, or use the Facebook features, this is upsetting. There should be a way that once you turn 18 (since your birthday is linked on your PSN account) you should be able to upgrade into a master account. My dad made an account just so I would be able to make my own one and not fake my age. In my case, it's not an imideate problem, but it is for many people now who are 'stuck' as a sub account after they turn 18 years old. I would like to become a PS+ member, but I am not able to since I am a sub account, and only master accounts are able to. I love the PS3, but this is the only negative aspect of it. However, this is a problem that needs to be fixed, and I belive can easily be fixed with a System Update. Please, Sony!
