Re: R2 L2 Button fix!!!!

Sep 7, 2008

wow i did'nt expect a basher in this thread but i dont abuse my equipment, it is a design flaw. when the button gets FLIMSY and does'nt recoil like it used to then you know it is bent. and cant be bent back without breaking it.

the reason it happens is the metal they used in the spring is too weak to handle long term gaming. and L2 and R2 never need to be mashed in any game. R1, L1, and X yes but i have never had any trouble with those. my buttons just broke ut of the blue.

the coil from the pen idea is also a great idea Kudos!

How about a fix for analog sticks that are limp? CoD4 took a toll on one of my controllers...

oh and the staples have been in my controller now for a month and the buttons have never been stronger. i used staples from a staple gun, not like a paper stapler. i did this in a half hour. while playing metal gear online. when the controller spring broke i was playing SURVIVAL and had to think fast to get back in before the lobby's closed for the night.

if you have played MGO then you know what i am talking about. my character would just go in and out of the box while walking it was really annoying.

thanks for all the positive comments!!!

something close to this happened to me so i pick up a controller on day and the l2 was stuck inside the controller ..... using a flat screwdriver ( I'm havin a brain fart I dont know what they are called) i opened the controller just a crack on the top without unscrewing and pulled the l2 out   ..... what a brave trooper

if your button is sensitive its because your spring is broken, and the button just rests on the sensor. try my fix with a staple or ink pen spring.

good luck

I think it's against the rules to ask for Kudos. I might be wrong though.
