I bought the PS3 Move Pack two days ago but since I live in the Czech Republic I didn't receive the Sports Champions game along with the pack as I believe the US customers do (I'm posting here as the EU part of these forums don't seem to be very much alive) so I downloaded the demo from the PS Store and today I bought the full game on Bluray because the table tennis game was simply amazing and I got bored pretty quickly with only two opponents. But to my surprise the table tennis part of the full game is totally different than the one in the demo.
While in the demo I could easily send the ball precisely to any desired spot at the opponent's side of the table with the maximum speed, in the full game I have problems even hitting the ball! I've recalibrated like ten times but it's no use. The controller, the eye, everything should be fine as the other Move games are ok (well, in the Gladiator Duel the sword isn't moving as fast as my hand, but I guess that makes sense as the sword is a bit heavier than a ping-pong paddle).
I figured that the game only needs an update as the demo from the PS Store was probably the latest version, but god knows how long that Bluray was sitting in the seller's warehouse. I haven't owned a PS3 before so I don't know if Bluray games update themselves automatically or if there even are any updates at all. When I googled it the search came up empty, just like the game's properties in the XMB.
So I don't know what to do about it, the game is simply unplayable and it's incredibly irritating because I know it was super accurate in the demo. I'll greatly appreciate any help.

Yeah its unplayalbe, the only decent game is the Disc Golf game, all the other ones are really bad. I bought Sports Champions like 4 months ago, and it was boring after 2 days, its been collecting dust since along with the move controllers and the Sharpshooter somewhere in my closet. I wish SONY could of supported Move better with games that make move worth owning

Its was a trap lol, maybe they made the demo easier than in the actual game. In the real game the difficulty settings might be defferent or just different, it takes a bit of more skills but still I guess, its borng and just not fun anyways

I don't really think that it's a difficulty issue, it's more like the game can't get correct readings from the controller and/or the eye. Still hoping that it's just an old version with bad Move implementation, so is it possible to update it somehow?

Ok so today it finally offered me an update (1.02) but even after the updating it's still crap. It is a little better but not as better as it should be and as it was in the demo. Seriously considering refunding both the game and the PS3 just out of principle...

I never tried the demo, but I never had any problems with the table tennis from the disc. If you try the demo now, after playing the full game, does it play the same as you remember? Maybe some settings changed or something in the room is different now. Updates, like you found out, will be added when the game starts (if you are connected to the internet).

That's strange because I played a lot of table tennis when I first got Sports Champions and never had any problem at all. It was very responsive and I played through the first 3 levels of the tournament. I only stopped because I started playing Killzone 3 and it has taken over most of my game time.
