A Unified FFA Ruleset

11 replies 167 views Edited May 4, 2013

Hello everyone, I am striving to bring back a competitive community for PSASBR. I want to start by asking all major PSASBR forums to help in creating the most unified ruleset we can that apeals to the largest audience to bring players into a competitive setting and try to restart the competitive community.

This will all be a part of my upcoming Project All Stars which will be a HUGE push in many communities to get this game up and going in a frenzy again and show SSM we are worth any support they give us.

I always used the rules that standard ranked FFA used for the few FFA events I ran, but I want a LOT of feedback on what would bring the most people in for an FFA event. So please give me LOTS of suggestions on what should be used!

I always found what SuperBot said about trying to balance the game primarily for FFA interesting when the default FFA option has items. Items doesn't bring balance to FFA matches. It brings the random element of luck.

No items yes. I think FFA should be kill limit 5 as well. No too big stages or no too small ones.

Since this is competitive as well, I guess we take off stage hazards since like items they disrupt the match.

For FFA, Kill limit 6, items off hazards off.
Large/ medium matches: PM1, PL1. San Francisco, Columbia, sweet tooths stage, rival stage(if they fix frame rate issues)
Average out the ranks of all 3 matches, person with smallest number is kicked out. Those 3 continue up until its a 1v1.
Ban Kat(buggy as all hell)and Zeus(stupid roll invincibility)

I'd say Kill Limit 10 just so screen clearers have to work for that extra kill instead of using 3 striaght level 3s
