Anyone else notice this on Metropolis?

I was just using Dante in Practice mode on the Metropolis stage, and it progressed to the God of War mashup. The stage was arranged so that the conveyor belt was split in two by a grinder pit that has a floating platform hovering over it.

I did Dante's Level 2 on the left conveyor belt, facing right. I thought he was going to stop right before he hit the pit in the middle...but to my surprise, a temporary platform was formed over the grinder just as I did my Level 2, allowing me to dash to the other side of the map unharmed.

I tried this with other Supers (like Dante's Level 1) and it worked the same way; that little platform formed temporarily and remained for the duration of my Super. And opponents can stand on it too, so you can time it so that you catch someone right as they're about to land into the spikes (or so they think). The platform will catch them and most likely get you the kill if you time it properly.

My bad if this is something that's been well known for a while; just thought I'd give you guys a heads up about it!

I've noticed that quite a few times but I never really got on the forums to say anything about it. Was it always like that?

I tried it with Dante's Level 1 & it worked too. Haven't tried them all but I'm assuming it's this way with all supers.

It's well-known?  I honestly had no idea it did that until just now.  That's really neat.

it came with the patch, before, the gap would not allow you to cross while doing a super unless it was a level 3
now it's triggered by all supers

It stays for the duration of all supers because a super makes you invulnerable to all stage hazerds. (Ment to anyway)
