Confirmed No more DLC.

39 replies 1527 views Edited Jun 16, 2013

Shortly after E3 2013, Shuhei Yoshida of Sony Worldwide Studios commented on future DLC Releases, commenting the game's sale of 1 million units but claiming "it was not enough to have the momentum in terms of a business standpoint to continue to add characters or do a sequel", confirming no more DLC is likely to be released.

It was a good test run. Too bad the execution was terrible, otherwise this game could have been a franchise as big as Smash.

...

Okay, not as big but you guys know what I mean. Smiley Happy

@regularbender; I won't be expecting new characters now, but unless Santa Monica actually says otherwise, I see that the costumes might still be coming.

They are still currently working on the last dlc, probably the last, based on the news from Seth.

The guy who said that also said "Never say never"
Followed by him saying if a sequel would be made the super system would change or something.

That's one thing that should stay.  It's helps make the game unique, and it should only take some polishing to perfect.

However, I don't think there should be all the same specials for a returning character.

I don't mind the supers system, what would be interesting is a health system with the super system, landing supers do more damage then normal attacks and combos.
