This game (and most fighting games) cant even handle all the precision of an analog stick. You usually only need a D-Pad. That said, some fighting games work better with an analog stick because you can move it faster when inputing directions. Shoryukens are a lot easier on a stick, especially a fight stick. I only switch to analog when I'm using some supers that make it easier since you can move smoothly.

All old school gamers use the D Pad, no question.

Mixture of both for dante. Some combos I use the D-pad some I use the stick. Some I change mid combo and the empty cancel uses the D-pad for me.
