MLB The Show is one of Sony's best selling franchises and Joe Mauer was one of their best cover atheletes and brand representatives over the years. He should be in PSASBR. Here's my pitch:
His move set would have a variety of bat and ball attacks and his block could be like a catcher blocking the plate. As for supers:
Level 1: "Sliding Into Home" - Home plate appears a short distance away from Mauer (a la Fat Princess's cake) as he luges forward into a slide that kicks up dirt and kills anyone between him and the plate.
Level 2: "Bring the Heat" - Mauer gets into a catcher's stance as an unnamed pitcher appears at the far left or right of the screen (relative to where Mauer's looking) and throws a fastball into Mauer's glove, killing anyone it hits along the way. This could work similarly to Radec's level 2, wiping out everything at ground level between him and a wall.
Level 3: "Batting Practice" - This one would be more like Radec or Sly's level 3 where you see Mauer in the batter's box in the foreground and aim his batting practice swings at the players on the field, killing anyone who gets hit by a ball.
