Lara Croft: Complete Moveset

[ Edited ]

Character: Lara Croft

Series: Tomb Raider

Company: Square Enix Holdings Co., Ltd.

Overview

Lara Croft in all her splendor. With this moveset, she plays very differently from just about any character in the game. Here, Lara relies on the numerous artifacts she collected throughout her adventures. She makes use of guns but the artifacts are the core of the moveset. It wouldn't be Lara if she didn't rely on her impressive acrobatic skills. She has a number of moves that allow her to trick opponents with jumps and rolls. Winston Smith, Lara's butler, is also featured in this moveset.

Speed: Medium.

Jump: Very high.

Height: Tall.

Default and alternate costumes

Note: To be consistent with what SuperBot is doing, Lara's default appearance and costume would be from the upcoming Tomb Raider (2013).

Moves

+ + Hold

Dagger of Xian (air and ground): Lara wields the Dagger of Xian. Can hit up to 3 times. The first two hits are normal swipes (very low AP return). The last hit is a stab (medium AP return) that briefly transforms the target into a dragon that releases a column of fire (short range attack, auto-targeting, high AP return). After that, Lara pulls out the dagger from the target, who reverts back to its original form and is knocked down in the process.

+ +

Dual Pistols (air and ground): Lara wields her famous dual pistols. She can shoot while moving. If Lara jumps while using this move, she will unleash a barrage of bullets underneath her (stuns opponents briefly). Low AP return.

+

Uzis (air and ground): Lara wields a pair of Uzis for a quick burst of fire. Short range attack, medium AP return.

+

Spear Gun (ground): Lara uses her spear gun to hook opponents to the ground. Opponents hit by the spear will not be able to move for a brief period of time. Melee range, low AP return.

+

Desert Eagle (air): Lara wields a Desert Eagle for a single shot. Always shoots downward and in the direction she's facing. Short range attack, stuns opponents briefly, medium AP return.

+ +

Sanglyph Punch (air and ground): Lara wields the Sanglyph with the aid of Eckhardt's Glove. She uses them to string a few punches together. Can hit up to 3 times. The first two hits are normal punches (low AP return). The last hit is a fire punch that knocks opponents down (medium AP return).

+

Sanglyph Roll (ground): Lara wields the Sanglyph with the aid of Eckhardt's Glove. She uses them to perform a feign attack followed by a roll. The feign attack is a smash that strikes the ground (low AP return), setting it ablaze for a brief period of time (medium AP return). After that, Lara immediately rolls to the side, in the direction she was facing originally. Can dodge opponents, moves and supers.

+

Sanglyph Counter (air): Lara wields the Sanglyph with the aid of Eckhardt's Glove. She uses them to perform an aerial counter. After using this move, Lara will perform an aerial roll, absorbing any of her opponents' attacks for a very brief period of time. She proceeds to unleash 3 energy shots in a downward direction (two diagonal shots on each of her sides and one directly underneath her). The energy shots will only be released if attacks were absorbed by Lara (medium AP return). Opponents receive less AP than normal from attacks absorbed by Lara.

+

Sanglyph Uppercut (air and ground): Lara wields the Sanglyph with the aid of Eckhardt's Glove. She uses them to uppercut her opponents. Sends opponents through the air if they're hit. Medium AP return.

+

Sanglyph Smash (air and ground): Lara wields the Sanglyph with the aid of Eckhardt's Glove. She uses them to smash her opponents down. If performed on the ground, smashes in the direction Lara is facing. If performed in the air, smashes directly downward. Knocks opponents down, high AP return.

Hold

Eye of Isis Energy Shot (air and ground): Lara wields Sophia Leigh's staff that is attached with the Eye of Isis. She uses the staff to send energy shots at her opponents in a horizontal direction (infinite range, medium speed). Can be charged for up to 3 seconds. If completely charged, the energy shot will temporarily stun opponents. The longer the charge, the higher the AP return.

+

Spike Trap (ground): Lara notices a hidden spike trap in her path, activates it and jumps to avoid it. After using this move, Lara will take a single step (to activate the spike trap) in the direction she was facing originally and immediately jump to avoid the spike trap. Temporarily stuns opponents, medium AP return.

+

Swinging Axe (air): Lara notices a swinging axe in her path and proceeds to dodge it. After using this move, Lara will perform an aerial roll to dodge the incoming axe. The axe will continue swinging until it completes a single cycle. Medium AP return.

+

Winston's Revenge (air and ground): Lara summons Winston Smith for some tea tray rampage. If performed on the ground, Winston “runs” in the direction Lara was facing originally, using his tea tray to smash opponents in his way. If performed in the air, Winston smashes his tea tray directly downward. If he hits any opponents, he will yell out “Why have you locked me in the fridge?” in a classic British accent. High AP return.

+

Ora Dagger Lightning (air and ground): Lara wields the Ora Dagger. She uses the dagger to strike her opponents with lightning. If performed on the ground, strikes upwards and in the direction Lara is facing. If performed in the air, strikes horizontally to both sides of Lara. Sends opponents flying away if they're hit. High AP return.

Throw – Scion Mutation: Lara uses the Scion of Atlantis to transform her opponents into Crawling Atlanteans. A transformed opponent will perform a running attack (medium AP return) in the direction Lara was facing originally before reverting back to their original form (losing AP in the process).

Block – Winston's Tea Tray: Lara's block consists of Winston Smith being summoned and using his tea tray as a shield.

Supers

Level 1 – Boulder Trap: Lara activates a boulder trap. The boulder will always appear behind Lara and roll in the direction she is facing. Rolls for 3 seconds, fast speed. Average kill count per use: 1.

Level 2 – Horus Summoned: Lara uses the Amulet of Horus to summon the Egyptian deity to her aid. Horus is fully armored and twice Lara's size. He will transform into a shining Peregrine Falcon and proceed to horizontally sweep the stage in the direction Lara was facing originally. Average kill count per use: 2.

Level 3 – Mjölnir & Excalibur: Lara wields Mjölnir and Excalibur. She gains new moves while under the effects of this super (all of them are instant kills). Lasts for 8 seconds. Average kill count per use: 5.

+ +

Mjölnir Crusher (air and ground): Lara performs a 3 hit combo. The first hit is with the Mjölnir, the second with the Excalibur and the last hit is a downward smash with the Mjölnir that surrounds Lara with lightning (large radius).

+ +

Excalibur Slash (air and ground): Lara performs a 3 hit combo. The first hit is with the Excalibur, the second with the Mjölnir and the last hit is a spinning slash with the Excalibur that unleashes two horizontal energy waves (one on each of her sides, fast speed, medium range).

+

Mjölnir Lightning (air and ground): Lara uses Mjölnir to summon lightning. She places Mjölnir above her head and lightning strikes the mighty weapon. Lara proceeds to smash the ground with Mjölnir, surrounding herself with lightning (large radius).

+

Excalibur Wave (air and ground): Lara uses Excalibur to unleash an immense energy wave. She swings Excalibur and an energy wave is released from the legendary weapon (fast speed, infinite range).

Strategy

Lara is a run and gun fighter. She can attack while moving and feign into other moves to trick opponents. The pistol jump and spike trap can catch opponents by surprise, allowing Lara to start a combo. She has enough weapons to be an effective melee fighter but she can't extend her combos for too long. Lara's level 1 super is easy to see coming but becomes more effective in tight areas. Using her level 1 super with the pistol jump or spike trap can be particularly effective. Her level 2 super is a horizontal stage sweeper. Lara's level 3 super gives her new attacks and requires the player to be efficient as opponents are not slowed down.

Great moveset! Smiley Happy

Hopefully this will shut people up who think she would be a clone of Nathan Drake.

Also, that whole twitter thing is taken out of context, she still has a chance.

That was just from Crystal Dynamics though. Ultimately, Square Enix has final say on whether Lara Croft can appear on PSA or not (Sony would be in talks with SE rather than CD). It would make sense for SE to put Lara and Lightning in the game if they decided to advertise their upcoming titles.

And yeah, I made this moveset to show people that she wouldn't be a clone or another gun character. She has a huge library of games to draw stuff from and she actually uses a lot of the artifacts she collects throughout her adventures. I didn't even bother looking through her spin-off games which must have even more of those artifacts that would expand her already impressive catalog of mythical antiques.

First off, it's not a confirmed fact that she isn't in the game. As I've already said above, Square Enix has final say on whether Lara Croft will appear in PSA or not.

Second, if she's not in the game, it's even more reason to make a moveset to show support for a character that truly deserves to be in it.
