Probably just support for today's DLC. That way, people who don't have it downloaded can still fight against Kat and Emmett players and see the new minions online. If anyone has a Vita though, it'd be nice to see what it actually includes. It is, after all, more than half a gigabyte of data. Maybe the ranked version of Fearless is on there?
EDIT: Looks like everyone beat me to it. The update has some pretty cool stuff in it!
