4GB Enough?

20 replies 788 views Edited Mar 9, 2012

I was going to get the starter kit from sony which includes a 4GB memory card. I am now wondering if I should get a starter kit because of the good deal or just buy a bigger memory card.

I would buy mostly physical version of games with only Motorstorm RC and the AR games. So would 4GB be enough for that and some other gamesaves?

No, if you can spend another 10 bucks, get a 8gb it is a life saver.

Yeah that might be the best choice. Just to be safe. All I wanted from the starter kit anyways was the memory stick and the case.

I have bought the starter kit and it was useless, the case does not help that much, headphones are super cheap, screen protector does not go on correctly, only thing really good in it is the card case and memory card. I would save that money and get an 8gb.

I have a 32GB, wouldn't go any smaller.  There are also statistics that show the larger memory cards have faster read/write speeds so, another benefit.

Yeah I would do that but I am on a budget so that is not going to happen.

If you plan on downloading games, I would say NO.

The size of games ranges from several hundred megs, to a bit over 3 gigs. You'll quickly fill up the 4 gigs. Get the 32 gigs if you can.

Yeah but like I said earlier ,I am on a budget so that will not happen. So I think the best option now for me is the 8GB.

The 8GB will get you started. I was surprised though, how quickly mine filled up! Still, plenty of games to keep me busy: 4 or 5 release titles and 4 PSP titles.

I have the 8GB right now

Sadly it is not large enough to fit Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus, Hot Shots Golf World Invitational, Uncharted Golden Abyss AND Dissdia 012 Duodecim (so I got rid of Uncharted, it's on my PC for now)

Will probably upgrade to 16GB. But I don't plan on downloading a lot more. Just did this to get started and too lazy to drive to the store
