u read something that was made up or just a rumor. 4g vita is not something real.
i have not even heard this rumor.
the 3g version just came out in canada so i don't think they're about to abandon it for lte.
that said i have the 3g version. i paid 300 american for the launch bundle. it's not worth it. i have not even thought about turning in on. any 3g compatible multiplayer stuff is turn based games or playing against a friend's "ghost" / leaderboard scores.
wish i held out for a wifi bundle w/ game and memory card, u can find those for under 250 if u wait for a deal to pop up again.
i reread ur post. are u asking about a vita price being subsidized by a contract on ATT? that might be something. but i guarantee u if they said 4g model thats a typo.
3g speeds aside...
let's talk about that 2gig cap? for $25 a month? **bleep** man you'll crush that in a couple hours of any serious online gaming. probably about as fast as it would drain the battery. that's about 4 - 5 hours of content streamed from netflix. 1-2 game downloads.
not worth it for now.
edited for profanity
If you really read, there is no such thing as 4G, it's just something to say that it's a little better than 3G which people that have no real knowlege of speeds can deduce that it's faster.
ah 4g lte and hspa+ are not the same thing at all. hspa is also called 3g+ in other markets. someone else just said 3g and 4g are not strictly defined and have been used as confusing marketing for years now.
also that is saying $299 for me, not $200.
for lite gaming it's OK, just manage ur expectations is all i'm trying to say.
Maybe what you saw was 4gb, not 4g. Or what you mean. Either way, if that's the case, the 4gb memory stick is not worth it at all. You will need more space, unless you don't intend to use your Vita for... anything.
