Heh, Kutaragi called the PS2 a "supercomputer" as well.  History repeats itself.

At least the PS3 will be able to back that claim ,

Backup that claim how? The PS3 is not a supercomputer. It doesn't even come close to being one.

Fastest supercomputer
GFlops:91750

PS3 cell
GFlops: 218

I stand corrected but at least it should still be able to blow us away with what it can do. Anyway what is the minimum nuber of GFlops a processor has to have to be considered a supercomputer?

Supercomputer:

A mainframe computer that is among the largest, fastest, or most powerful of those available at a given time.

By definition the cell isn't a supercomputer.

A Supercomputer:
A mainframe computer that is among the largest, fastest, or most powerful of those available at a given time.

One cell will never be a supercomputer.

So?  If you went by that logic, my Pentium 4 is a "supercomputer," compared to older, slower ones...
