Re: Best PSP games for PS Vita

Currently playing Ys 7, Valkyria Chronicles 2, Legend of Heroes Trails in the sky, and GTA Chinatown Wars. All are excellent and a ton of fun. The only vita games I'm playing are MLB12 and MGSHD

Make sure you check this list before you buy. Not all games work with Vita! Resistance Retribution is one of those!

Its still $20. I honestly thought Retribution was repetitive. Its the only game in my 20 years of gaming that bored enough not to want to finish it. I though Burning Skies was much better, although not perfect.

We must have been playing different games then, you and I because the last thing Retribution is is repetitive. It has turret sections, mech levels, and underwater levels. Burning Skies has...none of that. Just a lot of walking and shooting. I enjoyed Burning Skies, but Retribution is the more superior game, by a mile.

Re: Best PSP games for PS Vita

Aug 1, 2012

It is the only game in the history of my 20 years of gaming that I quit playing it. I was already tired of shooting the same enemies over and over again by the end of the 3rd chapter. By the time I got to the Paris catacombs, I was sick of it. I always finish games that I start, even if its years later, but this game right here PO me off like no other. Sure the mech part was fun, but it was too easy. There was barely any underwater parts. The rest of the game is take cover, pop out and auto aim a few shots, go back into cover, repeat. I couldn't stand the main character. He acts like such a badass and then he keeps getting backstabbed over and over again by the Macquis. Reminds of Adam Jensen, always getting used like a cheap condom by the people that send him to do their dirty work. Burning Skies is more generic and doens't have anything that sets apart as a Resistance game, but I enjoyed it alot mroe because it wasn't as repetive, the controls are smooth, and the guns were funner to use this time around. At the very least, Resistance provides hope for future shooters on the Vita because this game shows that they can be just as good, if not better than the console shooters.

Great thread and kudos to you for updating the OP. Add the Metal Gear Solid and God of War games into Acton / Adventure

Yes it is. Its ridiiculously overpriced at $30. Its under the PSP section. Might as well get the MGS HD collection for $40, otherwise you are looking at $70 to get the same collection on your Vita.
