Heres a simple solution......

download an instant mesenger client on your PC and make sure your friends have it as well..... simple, easy, quick...... yannow.... for all you lazies

I'll even recommend one. Trillian. I use it all the time, and it's now available on Mac.

Has anyone tried making this a suggestion on blog.us.playstation.com? It would get my vote as it would be a nice feature to see if we could IM while on the go. Have an app for phones, and a service through us.playstation.com. But im afraid that mention of it here will only fall on deaf ears. Too much garbage to sift through on a forum to pay close attention to a feature request.
