So i have a bone to pick with sony. Why does cross buy only work in one direction? it should atleast be stated when buying a game on psn from the cross buy section on a vita that "this game will only work for the vita" or something along those lines.. or even better, allow the people who bought cross buy games on the vita to pay the difference for the ps3 title so that you can have both copies... if its a cross buy game, the game really shouldnt have different prices... (just bought Playstation all-stars on the vita thinking I would get the ps3 version as well... now im stuck with just the vita version....)
Cross buy doesn't work in one direction. It goes on a case by case basis. For example, Lone Survivor can be purchased on PS3 or Vita and you will own both copies. Retail titles like All-Stars and Sly Cooper: Theives in Time only work on way (PS3 -> Vita). All-Stars was never advertised as "buy the Vita version, get the other free."

at the moment, the ps3 version is $40 and the vita version is $35. imo the could have made them both $40 while actually being a "cross buy" game... (on the other hand, not everyone who owns a vita owns a ps3 as well)
