so i just played the demo of the upcoming remake of what is supposed to be Devil May Cry. To be honest this game is going to fail for a number of reasons. If you enjoyed the demo then good for you but i normally look around every corner of games before i decide to pick one up. needless to say i have gone backwards for now and is playing ps2 for the rpg gems the newer generation of consoles have been short of. so in short this is what i have to say the game will be recieved by fans when it comes out. First off you will notice in the game that you are in a matrix like world. where everything is a false reality and when you enter the real reality you see the world for what it is... demons. this brings nothing new to the table in conflict for video games. i remember something simular happening in the older DMC titles but nothing this "in your face matrix style." to add insult to injury dante is a "jersey colledge kid" with a very vulgar mouth on him. we need alot of soap to clean his mouth out. the graphics are nothing ground breaking as this game runs on the unreal engine you can clearly see stutter in frame rates. i know this is a demo but i have a feeling the main product will be giving to us without this issue being resolved. this is capcom we're talking about. the configuration of controlls are smooth but man can it be confusing. you have to hold down either the R2 or L2 to use other weapons. why not configure this as a one button hit to cycle? its a chore and its annoying. the other controll problem is you have to types of hooks. one that brings things to you and one that brings you to things. things including enimies and pulling out platform. each one is indicated by color, each color corrisponding with your bottom triggers. when things get hectic you will find yourself using the wrong grappling device. this isnt imposible to accomplish but the learning curve to get used to these "pain in the **bleep**" schemes will take some time.
was it enjoyable?
no it wasnt. i felt like i played this game before. no originality what so ever. dantes hair turned gray when you went into devil trigger which was a joke because when i used it.. all enimies fly into the air like god picked them up and said.. here jump up and do cool things... but it wasnt cool at all. for those who have seen the south park episode "i never should of gone ziplining" will have a familular feel to what the episode brought out when you play this demo. my predictions "unless paid under the table" IGN and gamespot will butcher this game when its released. i dont see it getting higher than a 7 and thats being generous. if you havent downloaded the demo today then try for yourself. fans will be pleased all the mechanics of finding hidden rooms and bonus's are still there. those of us who followed the hype that they would not mess up this franchise will be feeling majorly disappointed. the world feels like its straight from a comic book and as great as that sounds... it isnt.
so what did you think of the demo
bring back your old store. this new rendention is utterly flawed and an eye sore.

im downloading the demo and ill let u know what i think... i really hope its not gonna fail ... i think it will but... as i said i hope!! DMC is one of the best game series.. the main problem is Dante.. but maybe the story later on will explain all this wierd stuff that developers decided to change... who knows.. anyway i really dont want it to fail
