Wait a minute..... Xbox One costs $500 dollars. Microsoft says they will sell me an Xbox One for only $400 dollars if I give them my PS3. But with that same $400 dollars I could buy a PS4 and keep my PS3.
No thanks, I'd rather keep my PS3. Even if I had an old broken PS3, the X1 still isn't worth the $400 to me.
Except if can't be broken. The terms of the deal states:
Valid January 23, 2014 until March 2, 2014, or while supplies last. Available in select Microsoft retail stores in US (including Puerto Rico) and Canada; not valid online. To be eligible for trade in, product must power on and be in fully functional, working condition without broken/missing components, cracked display/housing or liquid damage, cannot be password protected, and include original chargers/accessories. To receive maximum trade in value, you must purchase an Xbox One at the same time. Any appraised value will be determined at trade in and provided as store credit, subject to Microsoft’s discretion and approval. All trade ins are final. Not valid on prior orders or purchases; cannot be transferred or otherwise redeemed for cash or gift cards. Combinable with select Xbox One and Xbox Live offers. Discount does not include taxes, shipping or other fees. Void where prohibited or restricted by law. Microsoft reserves the right to modify or discontinue offers at any time. Limit 1 per trade in/purchase.

This is one of the BEST replies I have ever read.
I had to repost it.
So my ps3 that doesnt work anymore would apply. Might do it to **bleep** ms off
I guess you missed the small print.
Cant have a cracked display? lol.
Must be fully functional and complete with all accessories, lol.
So get rid of a machine worth $300, for 20% off a machine worth $300, plus pay another $100! LMFAO.
But you get a home privacy eliminator for no extra cost.......
That has got to be the worst deal I ever heard of.
