Do you plan on using Gaikai on the PS4? And what do you think of it?

So the PS4 will be able to stream legacy titles on the PS4. Do any of you plan on using this feature? I am just curious because I don't know what the general opinion is.

Edit: What do you think of the whole idea of streaming old games on the PS4?

We don't even know the details of how it will be used.

Or pricing.

So no idea.

Too early to say. Need to see it in action before passing judgement. Plus not enough details have been released yet, so we'll see, maybe there will be more info available at E3.

I won't be streaming legacy games on the PS4. I'm not going to rebuy my games just to play them on the PS4. And if there are games I want for the PS3, I'll just buy the disc versions of them.

I won't use it if they make it a rental service for individual games.  If they make it an all-you-can-eat subscription service (the video game equivalent of Spotify, Netflix, etc), then I'll give it a try.  I'm skeptical that it will be lag-free and not degrade image quality.

No, I refuse to Pay for Games I already own... Grrrrrrrr......

This is why Backwards Compatibility should have been introduced to PS4...

And then Sony said, let Gaikai be free and bestowed upon its loyal users the ability to stream their entire PlayStation library, from the past to the present, for free.

Why is everyone assuming the streaming service, when it arrives, will be a paid service?

How are you playing PS3 games you own right now?  You must own a PS3, right?

There's your answer.  If you want to play PS3 games, use your PS3.  It doesn't die the day the PS4 comes out, you know...

I've seen people state they'd pay up to $100 extra for a BC PS4.  Guess what?  If there is a backward compatible PS4 for extra cost, it will be more like $300-350 more.  So that would be, say, the non-BC sku for around $450 and the BC sku for $750-800.  Would you still pay for a BC PS4?  You'll be lucky to get $100 for your PS3, since the price will drop when the PS4 comes out.

Because, it's called a Service for a Reason, ~_~

Why else would Sony do this for us, It would totally defeat the Purpous of the PS Store we already have now...

Giving everyone Free PS1, PS2, & PS3 Games just doesn't fit Sony...

It's so obvious that we will be required to Pay for it, ~_~

-------------------------------------

Your missing the Point... This isn't about the PS3, it's about the PS4...

& why would I pay for Games on the Gekai Service on PS4, if my PS3 does this for me...

Your Responce makes no sense...

Considering my Point was almost exactly the same as yours... Not entirely, but very simular, yes...

So your Argument was Pointless...
