I don't own a ps3 and I want to try little big planet. I see there is a PSP version so I would like to buy this but it's not on the vita market. I have media go on my pc and I know it's not compatible w/ the vita but I see I can buy games from it. I'm wondering if I could buy little big planet through media go and then go to my download history on the vita (which shows anything i've downloaded before including demos from years ago when I had a ps3) and just download it to the vita that way. I also read that even though not all the games are listed on the market you could transfer them from the ps3 so that's why I was wondering if this was an option for me.

LBP has not been tested to work on the PSVita yet and I doubt Sony will test it as they will want you to buy the PSVita version when it comes out soon, I would just wait.

Thanks for the answers guys. Didn't know there was a vita version on the way I guess I shoulda check and assumed that a major game like that would have it's own release lol. A little off topic but i'll spare opening another thread. Can you use the right thumb stick on the vita on psp games somehow? i was thinking about a couple other games but I would love to have the option to use the second thumb stick instead of say Ex,Square, Circle, Triangle

Yes you can. Whilst in the PSP game touch and hold the screen. A menu will pop up with an option to configure those buttos to the right stick. You can also choose to smooth out the graphics by using anisotropic filtering.

I believe the vita can still play the psp version of lbp, the games listed on playstations site i believe are only the ones playstation managed to do. head onto ign, they will tell you that it should work, but at the same time the ps vita verison is coming out soon.
