grind head, do they plug into the controller? Anyone have any reasonable ideas for wireless headsets for about $60? I've been on eBay and craigslist and amazon but I'm not sure what will work and what won't. I'm sending back my ps3 stereo headset because it's still not compatible and my gf doesn't like waking up to choppers blowing up and buildings collapsing.
Yes, the Phillips headset does plug into the controller.

Those are at GameStop for less than that I seen them yesterday and they look good enough.

Here's a review on the G35's.
What I suggest is you should spend a little more unless you have no problem with used gear. In the $180 to $200 range I can show you a setup comparable to a $400 to $500 setup.
What you want is the Astro Mixamp with either the Samson SR850's or Superlux 668B's. If you want chat, buy the Zalman ZM Mic1. It will take a future update to make chst compatable though. Best prices are on a Amazon and EBay.
Just do yourself a favor and stay away from gaming headphones for their one of the biggest scams on the market.
thats for sure. all mine always had issues for PC
Got some Shure SRH440 headphones and an antlion modmic, best of all worlds Superior sound quality + superior build quality
Logitech G35 works amazing!
Also, out of curiosity, does anyone know if the headphone jack on the DS4 also provide mic support, or is it audio only?
Don't know if this was answered or not but it does support the mic. By default the DS4 jack is set for chat only but you can go into settings and have it output all audio. I've temporarily been using my iPhone ear buds with the DS4 and I can hear all game audio very clearly as well as use the mic on the ear buds for chat. I have had an issue with them intermittantly not working for PS4 voice commands but other than that they work fine.
