depends on how good sales are..... PS3 took about a full year after launch before it got its first price drop.... from $599 to $499 on thanksgiving.
IMO, the PS4 is priced right where it should be. I doubt any price drop will happen in the first year if pre-orders are any indication.
If there are more people who are willing to pay the price, then there is little motiviation to lower it anytime soon.
This launch is a little different than PS3.
I would say within a year we will see a new 1TB model and alot of bundling.
I can't see any price cut for 3 years unless sales get ugly. Even if Xbone gets a price cut I would say Sony will compensate with bundles.
I know that speculation is a gamers favorite pastime, but can we please at least wait until the PS4 is actually in people's hands and in stores, before anyone starts guessing when there will be a price cut?
Not worth waiting, and even then you would be lucky to see it cheaper 2 years in... Maybe a $50 difference with a bundle.
I don't know if you guys realized this or not... Console makers do not want to lower prices. They'd rather pack in a larger Hard Drive, a camera, or games and keep the price near the same.
Almost 8 years in and a 360 with Kinect is $300 = Only $100 less than the launch price in 8 YEARS!
