Fez will be okay if you can forget that Phil Fish took the money from that company and ran with it - leaving his team behind with nothing.  There will be no Fez 2, no thanks to Phil Fish.

Re: [INFO] Playstation Plus (August Plus Lineup)

Jul 30, 2014

Great month!

Road Not Taken - awesome addition; even better if it includes the Vita version when that releases later this year, as a turn-based Roguelike would be perfect on-the-go! Those that are dismissing it as "yet another indie game" need to go read the PS Blog posts about the game and go watch the GameSpot E3 Stage Demo, which was hilarious. I also think it's great that PS4 gets so many games at launch as IGC; no fear in buying a game only to feel shafted with it becoming IGC later.

Fez - highly overrated. But a lot of platformers play best on Vita, so maybe I'll feel differently playing it on that. Either way, don't expect it to blow your mind. Also, the creator (Phil Fish) is an arrogant, ungrateful **bleep**.

Crysis 3 - solid AAA inclusion. Even if you're not a shooter fan, I definitely recommend giving it a shot just for the aesthetic. There are also multiple ways to tackle missions and such, so you can find the playstyle that suits you best. May be a little odd if you never played the first two games, but I don't think you'd be at a complete loss.

Proteus - This is an exploration game...if you can even call it a game. I'm not big into these type of things, but others may think differently. Because it's so polarizing though, I think it does make for perfect IGC.

Metrico - I played a demo at a Walmart kiosk, but I didn't "get it" - maybe because I started in the middle and I couldn't hear the soundtrack. I was very glad when they announced there'd be a demo for the game so I could try it out in the comfort of my own home to see what it was all about - even better now that we get the full experience! It's a side-scrolling platformer, and as I said before, Vita is awesome for platformers.

Dragon's Crown - Definitely the star of the month if you don't own it. I got it at launch for Vita (with the awesome artbook) and it's a lot of fun. Coincidentally I started playing it again last week after some time away. During some chaotic battles, the small screen of Vita may make it hard to discern things (though you do have player icons), so visually, it's better on PS3. However, control-wise, the touch controls make the Vita version vastly superior, making it quicker and easier to use runes and find "hidden treasure", as well as the cooking mini-game (which means you can cook/eat faster than your PS3 companions and thus have more stat boosts than them). Either way though, this is a must play.

---

One thing I find curious is that EU is getting everything the same except instead of Dragon's Crown, they're getting LEGO Harry Potter Years 5-7. I think that's now the third LEGO game they've gotten for Vita, while we (NA PS+) have received zero. Do the LEGO games simply not sell well in Europe compared to NA? I love the LEGO games, but I've never bought one for Vita because I don't like that they're smaller/dumbed down versions compared to the PC/console versions. Getting one as IGC would be great to see if my worries were for naught this whole time.

You're not the brightest are you?

They're not FREE games when you have to pay $50 a year for them. It's a subscription that includes the games and some other pretty useless things. People mainly subscribe to PS+ to get the games every month, so they're not FREE.

I can understand they can stop buying PS+ for the PS3 if they're unsatisfied, but most people are happy with the games the PS3 is getting. It's a problem for the PS4.  The games they give out suck and they have no choice but to keep PS+ because they need it to be able to play multiplayer.

I sadly expected more out of this month like KNACK or even Octodad, but I am still pretty happy with The Road Not Taken and FEZ. Crysis looks cool and all but gameplay is pretty bad and people only play it for its graphics. Well, lets see what September brings us! *remembers its school* **bleep** it.

Did you just read my post or what here? Some other people had very good points on how it is free but...

So people are mainly subscribing to Plus to get FREE games monthly, but then they are stuck with Plus beacause they need it to play multiplayer. If they have Plus to play multiplayer on PS4 then isn't that what they are buying Plus for. The FREE games would just be a cherry on top sort of thing no? Smiley Indifferent

Disappointing month.
In fact, the last months have been very bad, especially for owners of PS4.
Do not have imagined the PS4 as a console for indie games.
Really disappointed.
What has saved my account PLUS is the content of the PS3.

One theory that seems to make the most sense is that some of the countries in Europe won't allow violence in some aspects. So the PS+ for EU, removes the NC17/R games and replaces them with different rated games. In this case I don't think that Dragon's Crown is "R", they got the game not too long ago so it would be a duplicate.

I agree with the Lego games. I'm curiour to try one, but would not buy it.

Now that I heard that Dragon's Crown will be available for PS3, I may give that one a go. Thanks.
