Is $100 difference the only reason to buy PS4? If PS4 was more expensive than Xbox One, would you still buy it? Does the lesser price tag of $399 for PS4 is the only reason you won't buy Xbox One which wears a price tag of $499.
there are more than 1 reason why people go with PS4
price was definitely a factor, as SONY themselves deliberately cut their price just after MICROSOFT's presentation to lure in potential customers on the fence
i came from xbox 360 last gen as i believed that was the console to be on when it comes to ONLINE games. i still think xbox offers more stable and secure online (but PS+ offers more value with all the GOOD free games, not the OLD, UNWANTED games microsoft gives out)
i basically missed out on MANY games i wanted to play by being with xbox
mostly the RPGs and games from quantic dreams, heavy rain and beyond
so by coming over to PS4 this gen, im hoping that i get to play more RPGs
and i was relying on GAIKAI to make backward compat available (but im having my doubts)
another factor was the system reliability. I went through 3 xboxs. With my PS4, it runs solid so far, knock on wood
however, im still disappointed in the lack of features on PS4. dashboard looks very deserted. no youtube. and all the goodies the PS3 users are getting with PS+, PS4 users are missing out
i know things will improve from this point forward but it's nothing like "GREATNESS AWAITS"
when i play my PS4, it just feels like another game. it doesnt feel next gen to me yet.
I run both consoles, but PS has always been my primary. In no hurry for the XBone but I will end up with one.
Welcome to the Playstation Forums.
The truth will set you free... But it may sting a bit...
Most of us purchased PS3's, remember?

BUT, I'm such a baseball addict, MLB The Show may have very well been the reason I got a PS4. Glad with my decision so far.
