Re: List Of Games The PSV Desperately Needs To Thrive

I wish they would give us a more exact date for Borderlands 2 PSV instead of just "2014" also some cross-platform features between the PS3 & PS4 would be cool too.

Dollars to donuts the BL2 Port for PSV has been quietly cancelled due to too few PSV units sold and not being worth their time.

Dark Souls is “Too Young” to go the F2P Route: “Pay Per Death? That Would be Terrible”

It may have taken some time, but the original Dark Souls did receive some DLC with Artorias of the Abyss. When it comes to Dark Souls 2 though, Producer Takeshi Miyazoe revealed to Edge that they aren’t expecting to do any DLC for the upcoming title:

For Dark Souls 2, we don’t even expect any additional downloadable content because we want to deliver a full game, the full experience, to fans who purchase the package from day one.

We did do additional content for Dark Souls, but generally downloadable content for Dark Souls 2 is not really being considered. Buy the package and you’ll get the full experience, and you’ll have as much fun as anybody else. Spending a couple dollars on certain items does not help the experience. So no free-to-play yet!

Speaking about F2P, Miyazoe said he thinks “it’s too young” to go that route, “and with Dark Souls I think it would be hard to monetize in that way. Pay per death? That would be terrible. From Software especially don’t want to allow players to pay for an advantage.”

As well, if you were hoping to see a Wii U version of Dark Souls 2, Miyazoe shot that down, with a Vita version also ruled out as “it’s not a handheld game, because of the network functionality.”

Does the Vita haves PlayStation Network's Network functionality? yes. Can you play online? Yes.

Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 (Port)

The Walking Dead

Uncharted: Golden Abyss

Injustice: Gods Among Us Ultimate Edition

Dragonball Z: Battle Of Z

Plus PS1 , PSP and soon enough PS2 Game support via Digital Streaming Via Playstation Now.

Pretty decent list (Even tho a lot of them are just ports) and they are all more or less confirmed to be coming to the PSV at some point. Although I feel the 3DS still out matches the PSV in terms of quality and Original games as the PSV just feels like it's more ports than actually new games.

Here's a list of the best Nintendo 3DS games so people can see for themselves the difference

Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance

The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time 3D (Port)

The Legend Of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds

Mario Party: Island Tour

Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater 3D (Port)

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate

Monster Hunter 4

Super Mario 3D Land

Pokemon X & Y

Rayman 3D (Port)

Rayman: Origins (Port)

Resident Evil: Revelations

Sonic Lost World (Port)

Sonic Generations (Port)

Star Fox 64 3D (Port)

Super Smash Bros

Super Street Fighter IV: 3D Edition (Port)

Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell 3D (Port)

Skylanders

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Mirror of fate

Scribblenaunts: Unlimited

Plus the 3DS has B/C with all Nintendo DS games.

Nice lists. One of the biggest issues with the Vita though are the memory card prices. That's enough to scare a lot of people off from getting one. Any good games aside. :smileysad: They need to lower them to a sane level. Imo, that would help the Vita out quite a bit and would be a good start.

As for games, they need to bring out some more RPG's and some other games to compete against Zelda and Pokémon. I think that a game like Ni No Kuni would fit that bill nicely. Good game play, storyline and atmosphere.

Anyone remember Tony Hawk: Proskater 4? I've been looking for a used copy of that for awhile now and I haven't found a single good one yet :smileysad:. I rented it for my PS2 years ago and had a lot of fun playing it. It would be great if Playstation brought it back via Gaikai.

That would be great for anyone playing on either the Vita or the PS4, imo.

Agreed the memory cards alone were enough to make me say nuts to this when considering a vita purchase.
