LOL he is pretty much bashing the Xbox 360.

In this article he said that he is not sure if everyone can live up to that high standard that Sony is expecting and X360 was a little bit more down to earth.
,

,
Then he said PS3 would be like a dinner you only have once a year on your anniversary and X360 is like something you would have once or twice a month.  When I apply this statement to myself, PS3 = lobster dinner and X360 = BigMac meal.
,

,
Now, if Sony plays the card right and make sure that PS3 is as affordable as X360, then everyone would be having aniversary dinners every month.  If lobster dinner and BigMac meal cost about the same, why should people choose BigMac over lobster?  Unless you are allegeric to lobster.

,
,

He's also inferring that it's going to be a huge investment for smaller developers to make games for the PS3

,
,

First of all he is not a small developer.  Second, don't make it sound like developing for PS3 will cost 100x more than developing for X360.  Kojima knows it wouldn't be much cheaper to develop a game on X360.  The smartest thing for him to do is to make games for the console with the biggest user base.  This is why he made more games for PS2 this gen.  He might release a MGS port for X360 just like what he did for Xbox1 but he usually release a better version plus a few more newer MGS game for Playstation.  Didn't he said MGS4 will be on PS3?

He's saying that making games for the X360 is faster and easier, while the PS3 is harder and longer.

what,he is saying is that he'd rather have the easy way out to make a quick, game rather than spending quality time/effort in making a near,perfect/flawless masterpiece although the ps3 can do a little bit more

My take on this.....IMO, he means that by Sony trying to implement the Cell...basically an unproven tech...they are just recreating the whole Emotion chip fiasco all over again. Trying to create something new that they think will revolutionize tech., but it just ends up being something that's too complicated for dev. to understand and use properly. Also, by showing the Killzone 2 trailer and letting people believe that that was gameplay...well, now that's what consumers are going to expect to have when the PS3 arrives...but the fact is, no dev. will be able to pull it off. Sony has basically shot themselves in the foot over this.

Man.... WAY over reacting here.

You guys are reading WAY to much into these statements.
If you know anything about Hideo you would know to take this all this with a grain.

Agreed, Sony wants all their games to be high qaulity thats all this means. Kojima doesn't think every developer is in the same league as Kojima Productions, PD and others that work really close to Sony. ,

Llama, this is a typical Chuck S post think nothing of it. Trying to turn nothing into something bigger than it is.
