My PS3 is IMMORTAL

37 replies 502 views Edited Mar 29, 2013
So, my PS3 turned 7 years old today.

When I say that, I mean that is how long I have owned it. I bought it used at Gamestop 7 years ago. It was a refurbished display model. 80gb. I have never had a single problem with it. And I am what some might call a core gamer. My level on PSN is 15. More than 400 hours logged on Oblivion and Skyrim alone. So, I suppose it begs the question: How old is your PS3?

Lol yea, thats's a really long life span. I've had 2 PS3's, my first one survived a little over a year, got this one, had it for 2 years, its refurbished, and 160gb model, had no problems with it yet, even though I leave it on all night with netflix lol.

Am I lucky, or does Sony make some badass electronics? I also had a PSP that I left on the top of car. I got on the highway, so I was probably going 65 or 70. At some point I heard a strange wooshing sound and I suddenly realized that my PSP wasn't in the car. So I looped back around to the next exit. After about 20 minutes (and the state police stopping and asking me what the hell I was doing) I found it in about 5 different pieces on the side of the road. I put it back together and it still worked PERFECTLY. And, as a side note, I was also drizzling rain. I have other consoles, but I will always go back to Sony. SHOW SONY LOVE!!!

I don't think it's the systems anymore. With these two stories, I think that you are some kind of "chosen one". This doesn't happen to everyone.

To be honest, every time I turn the old girl on I wonder if this is her last day on Earth. But I could hardly complain at this point.
