If Sony decides not to include a Blue-Ray drive in PS3 ta cut cost, would you be upset?
Trust me... the person posting below has nothing exciting to say.

not really... BluRay are years away from taking over the market...DVD will be prime for at least a couple more years,

Blue-ray is the media drive of choice for sony...

,

(edit)  if they made it DVD instead of BR... I would not be upset at all if it cut the cost... as it surely would.

Sony will not give-up the chance to make Blu-Rays popular.

If UMDs which only work on the PSP can sell hundreds of thousands, just imagine massive HD movies that you can play on your PS3 and any other Blu-Ray player.

what the hell, does everyone think the Xbox360 will use DVD's? It's going to use DVD-HD's...so if sony doesn't use the blu-ray, which there's no reason for them not to, they have proto players already in Japan, they will be behind in the case of storage capacity.  There is no reason for them not to use blu-ray disks and They won't use anything else.  The only thing they might consider is also letting people release games on DVD still since it will be backwards compatible...,

Um dude, you're a moron. The Xbox 360 is just using regular old DVDs, not HD-DVDs, and the PS3 will NOT use HD-DVDs no matter what bcz the unified format was no developed so HD-DVDs are Blu-Ray's rival.
