Hey everyone, I know some of you (like me) have been having issues with the Party Chat app (such as being unable to hear other people) on the PS Vita system, well me and a friend of mine (runurfaceover123) have been doing a lot of testing and amazingly we came up with a solution, apparently the PS Vita is having issues with opening certain ports when connecting to other users and its a pretty easy fix. To fix the issue you must set up your PS Vita in DMZ mode on your router's settings. For those who do not know how to set up your PS Vita in DMZ, read the following below.
To set up your router's DMZ, you must go to your web browser and type in 192.168.1.1 (Some routers have it set to 192.168.0.1) and it should bring up your router's webpage and will ask you for username and password. Type in your information there if you previously set it up, if not, you should google "default username and password" for your router (i.e default username and password for Dlink DIR-655).
Now that your logged in, go to the DMZ settings. Usually the DMZ settings can be found under the router's Firewall settings, Advanced Network Settings, or QOS Settings, its not too hard to find. After you located the DMZ settings, it will ask you to enable it and input a IP address to set in DMZ, you can put 192.168.1.9 (192.168.0.9 for some routers) and then save/apply your settings.
Next your going to go to your PS Vita's network settings and put the IP settings manual, then put the following:
IP Address: 192.168.1.9 (or what ever you put as your DMZ IP)
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Default Router: 192.168.1.1
Primary DNS: 208.67.222.222
Secondary DNS: 208.67.220.220
And then save your settings, now your all set and it should fix all issues with Party Chat.

But for everything else, your correct, everyone will have to check their setup information before making these changes.
