Re: PS4 Is 'Very Important' To PS Vita

Feb 28, 2013

In video game history several companies have tried the collaboration on portable consoles. None of them have ever worked out to the portables favor. Hardly anybody buys a handheld to work with their console, the Sony sales seem to reflect this. They market the device to PS3 owners just how many are interested. They tried it with the PSP.

Having said all that, prove me wrong Sony, but I don't see it happening like they said.

My personal taste is give me Vita titles. I don't want to connect to the PS3 mobile or in the same house. I'd rather play a title like Persona 4 Golden.

I read this under multiple story bylines and it made me sick to my stomach... Actually betrayed as an early adopter of the Vita... Here we are a YEAR after the Vita launch, portable gaming enthusiasts and loyal Sony consumers, and we are being advised that the PS4 is critical to our handheld... A PS4 in our pocket! If that was the always in play Vita gameplan then I feel deceived as I thought I purchased a STAND ALONE gaming console...

I have a PS3 and I will not even consider a PS4 until that console wears out... So to hear it exclaimed that the PS4 is important to the Vita is processed in my mind as we have more of a focus on the PS4 in terms of saving the Vita experience vs. a focus on bringing the communicated Vita Vision that I bought in on with my purchase of the handheld on launch day...

Furthermore please don't state that this is an ADDED feature that is optional for someone to take advantage of at their discretion... Not when the state of the Vita is where it is today... It simply feels like a promised bone down the road to keep us on the hook...

Same here.

If Sony announced that 50 more games for Vita would be on the shelf by Christmas or earlier I'd be thrilled out of my mind!

All I see thus far for March are Warrior's Lair on 3/1 and MLB '13: The Show on 3/5,seems like slim pickings to me. Smiley Sad

The one bright spot I got was seeing the 3 pack of Star Wars Pinball for Zen Pinball come on PSN on 2/25.Makes me feel a little better as I've been having fun with it. Smiley Happy

I doubt RG is working on anything PSV related; if they'd, we'd have heard of it by now. After the Bioshock fiasco, Sony needs all the third party support advertisement that they can get. However, what I mean is, they posted last week that every first party company Sony owns is working on the PS4. So, where does that leave the PSV? Or rather, how come they weren't all working on the PSV so that it wouldn't have such a rough year~?

Just some decisions (and lack of news) that honestly baffle me~.

:thumbs up:

The kind of stuff I've been saying, man! Smiley Happy

Has PSV been left out in the cold after launch here?Sounds a bit like PSV is being snubbed and/or forgotten for PS4 dev stuff.

agree it would be even more exciting to see more games coming for the vita instade the PSV turning into PS4 accessory, and if that

happen I guess I will be done with sony because I bought a Console not an accessory for a future console. Look at Nintendo they don't tell their customers who bought the 3DS that their "future console is very important to the 3DS" like sony does , and don't get me wrong here I don't like the 3DS and there is no way I'm going to buy one I like sony and I like their handheld devices the psp was really great and now the PSV is even greater, so why sony don't treat the vita in same way that Nintendo treating the 3DS , right now I only feel sony is telling me this : (PS4 Is 'Very Important' To PS Vita) then what about the people who don't plan on getting PS4 or the people who even can't get PS4 for different reasons are the ports the only thing we are going to get for the PSV ? I know now we are waiting for KZ and another 1-2 cool games but what about future plans for the vita other than the ps4 is important to the vita I really wish we can hear something from sony about the vita without mentioning the PS4 lol

Hmmm, isn't that a stupid marketing strategy then, many of us don't own a PS3 either, and quite possibly many of us here sound to not want a PS4 as well. What gain is there in that for us in that league??A PS4 will not benefit us at all,no matter how much it might supposedly offer
a Vita owner or a potential one.I'm through with being burned on console ownership. Smiley Wink

I still say Sony is cutting the pie up too much for it's own good and us gamers/Vita owners out there.i'm hearing the same comments from others out there too, both online and off.

not a good strategy IMO and that is one of the reasons that I'm not going to get PS4 , I already trusted sony and bought the vita but now I feel they are laughing at me and saying hey you want to see the full potential of the vita and want to see more games on the vita u have to pay more for the PS4 otherwise u will only get 1-2 games every few months . Sorry but I can't trust sony again and right now I'm using my vita to play psp games I finished alot of the good games on the vita like P4G and gravity rush and many other games but can't find any new vita game that interest me , I will wait for E3 if we will continue to see new good games every 5-6 months then I will sell my vita to get a used psp at least it cost 50-70$ and don't need overpriced memory card and getting the games on umd is cheaper plus more RPGs , I had good time playing vita games but now I finished them and can't find anything else to play other than psp games , and oh pls don't tell me there are good games coming out like kz and ss lol I have been waiting for them for long time now lol
