PS4 Will Have Online Fee. What Will Happen to PSN for PS3 and Vita?

4 replies 136 views Edited Jun 17, 2013

Not sure if this has been addressed anywhere, but I was curious if there is any information about what will happen to online access with PS3 and Vita when PS4 launches with its subscription fees.

I won't be buying a PS4, so I'm worried that PSN will suddenly require a paid subscription to have access to all of the games I have purchased digitally for my PS3, PSP, and Vita.

Anyone have any idea?

I'm most worried about the Vita, since lots of digital games will be coming out for it. I don't want to be suddenly locked out of my games because I don't have PS+.

Thanks!

PSN will still exist on PS4, but most online games will require PS+ to play online.

PSN could be used for F2P games like planetside 2.

If anyone has the retail version of Soul Sacrifice, you might have noticed that the Online Pass doesn't go to your download list, it goes to your Services list, so I guess I'll add to the question and ask: What happens to these "services" ?
