Japan got theirs when the PSN opened but strangely it's been missing from NA and EU stores. Such an awesome game.
Now if we're talking about Classics that we don't wanna see, I'll throw in my vote for Choaniki. Like Hell I'd want someone on the train gawking at me while I play that nonsense.
Because powerful or not, the emulator has to be coded from pretty much scratch. Different hardware, different emulator. I'm keeping my expectations low because I don't really think we will get a huge number of PSO classics, at least from the getgo~.
FFVII has already been confirmed, I will second whoever listed Xenogears, that one on a PSV == too.**bleep**.good~.
Different hardware, different emulator eh? It sure seemed to be the easiest of platforms to emulate. Even on a completely independant scale. I can play PS1 games on my phone, unofficially. Officially, I can play PS1 games on my PS1 (of course), my PS2 (from the start), PS3 (from the start, also.. huh), and my PSP.
This whole thing about games being "confirmed releases" as PS1s on the Vita kinda irks me. Just because Jack Tretton had FF7 and Tomb Raider logos behind him at E3 when he mentioned the PS1 classics doesn't mean that's all there will be at the start. If that's true and there is no change in display properties of the games (like the bilinear PSP filter) or any justification for how long it's taking, then that's just retarded and leaves me with a single conclusion: Hacking exploit paranoia. Also the reason we haven't seen barely any new PSP releases on the PSN.
