PSX2 for US & JAPAN compatiblity

Will the two systems for these two countries be able to play the same games??

nope, regional block out. why do the do it, i dont know. they are only hurting themselves.

The reason they regionally block games is so that the U.S. Playstation division cannot support the Japanese games, and therefore they cannot allow unsupported software to run on their system.

They do it because of licensing rights and copyrights. Certain companies have certain rights to publish games in NA and in Japan. Like SquareEA. It is all about money and balance.

Play only imports is impossible because a mod chip has all the numbers to the psx codes. It randomly fills in the correct ones. They are programmed in and when you put in an import of backup it can't tellt he difference.

another reason for the block out would be the crappy games in japan. if you take a look at the games there you would understand. i have this game called photogenic and it sucks. i decided to break it.

mod chips loop the signal so the psx dont stop it

Unfortunately, MOD chips void the warranty of your Hardware, and Sony no longer has to support you at all.
