Not only that but Sony also realized that most people don't care for 3D.
IMO it has more to do with that customer's wern't willing to pay a huge premium for 3D. Current 3DTVs cost about the same as their 2D counterparts, where before they cost up to $1000 more.
For some reason, when this display first came out, Sony chose to demonstrate the Simuview technology and not the 3D at all. I think that was a mistake. 3D demos weren't shown for months later...
It's a good deal, especially for those people that want a 3D TV. My problem is that I don't have room for another TV, so I can't get it anyway.
Oh well, a good deal is a good deal, so whatever.
That's not a bad price, I would be very skeptical on why the price has dropped so dramatically. I have a 46" LG Ethernet, 3D TV. Got it on sale at Best Buy as well. The reviews were all 4.5 - 5 stars. Best investment I ever made. If your a gamer then 3D is the way to go. It takes the enjoyment of gaming and triples it. So, this price is really good if the TV's quality is up to par.
What model do you have? I also have an LG 46" 3D TV. I dont know what you mean about Ethernet b/c mine is also wifi thats why I asked the model number.
