Should i get ACIII: Liberation?

12 replies 240 views Edited Nov 18, 2012

Hi,

I'm thinking of getting Liberation but wondered if it was as good as the AC games on the consoles.

Whats the multiplayer like and is the single player good?

And what would you give it out of /10?

Thanks.

ACIII:L is as open world as the console games as far as the single player mode, with about the same amount of side missions and collectibles.  It uses the same game engine (and much of the same control scheme) as ACIII does on the PS3.

I haven't played the mulitplayer yet, but what I've seen of it, it is more of a strategy game similar to Risk or Axis vs Allies board games (it is not a direct player vs player experence as in ACIII, Revelations or Brotherhood).

I've just finished Sequence 2 on the single player mode (most of my time has been spent playing ACIII), but so far, I'd give ACIII:L SP about a 8.5-9/10.  Best game on the Vita I've played so far.  Easily worth the $40 retail price.

I'll update with my assessment on the MP after I've played it for a bit.

Go on YouTube and watch gameplay. From what I have heard the multiplayer isn't good.
Multiplayer 6/10
Campaign 9.8/10

Depends on what you like the most about the gameplay is a lot more stealth than fighting vs. AC3, and the story is lacking a bit.  Avaline is a cool character though, I hope she gets a full console game.

Don't expect much from mp, it is a card game.

Of the newer games, AC for the Vita is probably the best to be released this fall.

Also you should consider a PS+ subscription, since they are going to start including Vita content next week...

Definetly, it's a really good game. The multiplayer isn't what you'd expect though, it's a board game type with strategy and crap.

The graphics are good, lacking a bit of anti aliasing.

Control scheme is similar to the console versions.

But buy it from the ps store if you can, will save you 4$

In terms of SP, why not buy, but in the case of MP, well um, I don't know, I think I'll pass.

Its mostly AC but generally scaled back. The main city of New Orleans is rather small compared to say Rome in the other games. There's side quest stuff to do but not as much. But for $36-40 I think its worth it if your an Assasins Creed fan.

There is no difficulty setting to adjust in any single player Assassin's Creed.  Wolfpack (Coop) Mode on ACIII is the only place where I've ever seen a difficulty setting for an Assassin's Creed game.

However, just like any game, there are ways to make it harder on yourself.
