Solo players on Ragnarok Odyssey

This game is getting more difficult. If Grendel is just a taste of what's to come, then I may be forced to give this game up. :smileysad:

I'm still on Chapter 5 at the end and have to face a fire wolf

Re: Solo players on Ragnarok Odyssey

Well yeah, if you're having issues on chapter 5, have fun with 6, 7, 8, and 9 (especially 9-6)

Honestly, if you can't get help of SOME sort (maybe just go to some public wifi spot for a day or two?), I highly doubt you'll be able to finish.

Don't give up! It's possible... I actually play this game alone also, and the only time I get stuck are the bosses that you have to stop from bashing in the cannons.

Personally I always play missions through the tavern, it's harder, but if your having trouble with a boss, go through through(I don't know the name of the other) that hole in the wall .... And the missions are easier, if you're still having trouble, I suggest you work on finding a good set of cards that boost your hp and defense, as well as attack, also try leveling up a weapon with good attributes to at least above +5

Thanks for the heads-up. I may need to go to McDonalds to find a wifi spot

Re: Solo players on Ragnarok Odyssey

Still, the game is vastly easier with others to help you.

Not to mention, all the end-game content, which not only consists of a vast majority of the fun of the game, but basically REQUIRES party (at least until you can farm the very best gear).

Re: Solo players on Ragnarok Odyssey

I beat Grendel just an hour ago and have to face Skoll the fire wolf.

Some of the best cards come from beating these bosses.

Re: Solo players on Ragnarok Odyssey

Difficulty will depend on which class you play, Assassins are OP but only after you farm end game; until then you are going to suffer and three missions in Chapter 9 (that have you killing 100 mountain, fire and ice giants respectively) are impossible for the class~.

If you have issues try experimenting with other classes~.

[ Edited ]

The best cards are really from weapons later on in the game (where you refine weapons to +10 and then turn them into cards)

And I wouldn't say it's impossible. A nice DS mode build can do it.

Re: Solo players on Ragnarok Odyssey

Hey Juan and Glacius, I'm Assassin and kicking butt. Being even offensively and defensively got me nowhere as far as beating Grendel, had to switch to Assassin from being Sword Warrior.

Re: Solo players on Ragnarok Odyssey

Still, later bosses will be quite tough (I still use Assassin)

Level 8-5 will be tough.

9-5, 9-6, 9-7
