You'll love trying to solo the Giant levels.. God I hated that.. No one would ever help so it took me ages to finally do it all by myself and my characters aren't necessarily the best. I kept getting raped everytime, I had to lure and do all this crap just to live.. Then the bosses at the end of those jesus..
Non-stop giants coming at you.. Drove me nuts but at least I finally got past those parts..

Think I'm somewhere near the end of Chapter 5 with my Cleric. Had a buddy Swordsman I grouped with. Got him +300 healing with Sanctuary so anytime a boss decided to be overpowered I try to kite and heal, with a combination of offense and defense. Takes me a few tries to beat some bosses, but it works.
I am going to assume the limited combat gameplay and these overpowered bosses are why the game got mediocre ratings by the critics. It's a LOT more fun with friends, so long as they aren't the ones causing you to lose fights.
Like others have said, you need to spend time farming and upgrading your weapons as high as possible, and bosses and salvaging +10 weapons into cards are your best sources of upgrades.
