Just a positive piece of news for anyone who feels Sony isn't listening to your concerns about the Vita; mainly the price of memory and/or the quantity/quality of games. A survey Sony sent out last week to select PSN Vita users (including Me) asked specific questions about my opinion of the price of memory, price of games, amount of games, quality of games, value of the Vita with/without Plus, etc. The questions covered virtually every complaint Vita owners have voiced on this forum about the system. No one can believe that Sony doesn't get it, they definitely do. The question is what Sony is willing to do about it.
Less than a week after that survey went out, yesterday the Sony Store was selling 32GB Vita memory cards for $59.99 instead of the regular $99 (sale prices during the holidays lately have been $79) This is probably a sign of lower memory card prices in the near future at all retailers. All of the smaller sized cards were also reduced at the Sony Store. (All have sold out right now)
Good for them. This sale should make it even more painstakingly obvious how over priced the cards are. Granted this does nothing for me as I've had my 32gb running for months now so I'm curious what other things could be in the pipeline. More sales hopefully? Vita, PSP, PSX, dun care as long as it runs on my Vita or I can trans it over. This is a great way to finally shut up the "Not buying a Vita because of over priced memory cards" crowd though.
- PlayStation Vita 4GB Memory Card for $11.99 (regular $19.99)
- PlayStation Vita 8GB Memory Card for $17.99 (regular $29.99)
- PlayStation Vita 16GB Memory Card for $35.99 (regular $59.99)
- PlayStation Vita 32GB Memory Card for $59.99 (regular $99.99)
Damnit, I bought a 16GB card during the Thanksgiving Sale for $47.99....haven't even used it yet, should have waited!
