Excerpt: "Proving the theory that anyone will sue anyone for anything, a legal firm filed a class-action lawsuit for $5 million against Sony yesterday because the multiplayer mode in PS4 gameKillzone: Shadowfall doesn't run at a "native" resolution of 1080p."

What do you think frivolous lawsuit or a major corporation being called out for deceptive advertising?

I think its a bad lawsuit it depends on your TV. That is like saying all games are in 3D.

If I did care about 1080p and all that yes I would care. I just want games to play and could care less about 1080p.

I don't think there is a standard. CBS, ABC, NBC, the internet, Animal Planet all have different resolution which they call "hi def. And that's where this lawsuit falls apart.

I think it does seem a bit funny that somebody spends 50$ on a game and files a lawsuite but companys do need to be held accountable and if it wasn't for lawyers and stupid lawsuites we would see alot more deceptive advertising.

I don't think Sony was trying to lie to us but hopefully in the future when they make a claim of 1080p it will actually be native 1080p so people no what there getting.

"Held accountable"? Held accountable for what exactly? Held accountable that this guy doesn't have a television that's capable of displaying 1080p? Or maybe that this guy doesn't hook his console up correctly to his TV?

This is what's called a nuisance lawsuit. People file them all the time because they think they can get quick cash. Yet gamerdom seems to believe that they're standing up to the big, faceless, souless, suit wearing, corporate poopy heads who are exploiting the starving artists who only want to bring games to the masses while living in sqaulor. Really, if you don't think that this is someone who is looking for a settlement from a corporation with deep pockets, then geeks really are the new growth field in litigation.

That doesn't even make sense.

This is no different then any other frivilous lawsuit out there, geek or not.  The only one who's gonna make good on this is the lawyer.
